The fundamental principle is that, as with all other personnel employed by the State, teachers have annual leave in accordance with Villkorsavtal/Villkorsavtal T
The accrued annual leave entitlement of teachers and doctoral students is scheduled automatically from the Monday after Midsummer. If a teacher/doctoral student wishes to save days of annual leave for later, he or she should submit the form Application for saving days of annual leave (in Swe: Ansökan om att spara semester).
The scheduling of the annual leave is made by the department and will be taken into account when scheduling the annual working hours.
Teachers and doctoral students employed for part of the calendar year
For teachers and doctoral students taking up the employment in July or later in the calendar year, the annual leave entitlement is scheduled automatically from the starting date of the employment. If a teacher/doctoral student wishes to save days of annual leave for later, he or she should submit the form Application for saving days of annual leave (in Swe: Ansökan om att spara semester) when the employment starts. The scheduling of the annual leave is made by the department and will be taken into account when scheduling the annual working hours.
Teachers and doctoral students employed for a part of the calendar year are entitled to annual leave as follows:
The number of days of employment x annual leave entitlement/365 (leap year: 366).
If the calculated days of annual leave include a fractional number, the days are rounded up to the next whole number of days.
The number of days of annual leave is specified in the payslip available in the personnel administration system.
Only working days are regarded as days of annual leave.
Note! Employees may save a maximum of 30 days of annual leave.
To have a full paid annual leave, you should be employed the whole year. Days of annual leave can only be taken as full days.
The leave year is the same as the calendar year.
Number of days of annual leave:
