The university offers employees health care during working hours. Everyone who has an employment of at least 50% for at least 6 months is entitled to health care. To the extent that the work allows, full-time employees can use two hours of health care per week, while part-time employees can use health care in proportion to the employment, employment 50% corresponds to one hour per week.

Physical activities (gym)

In Luleå , wellness activities are offered in collaboration with StiL between 06.15-18.00 on non-weekend days. At the first training session, you must register at the reception at StiL. You pay a one-off fee of SEK 99 for the card. In order to get the training card, membership with StiL is required. You pay the membership fee yourself directly to StiL.

In Piteå , wellness activities are offered in collaboration with Korpen Sportkompaniet. At the first training session, you must register at the reception.

In Skellefteå , wellness activities are offered in collaboration with PULS. Access to the PULS strength training room is available on Campus. At the first training session, you must register at the reception

In Kiruna , wellness activities are offered in collaboration with Actic. At the first training session, you must register at the reception

Occupational Health Care

Luleå University of Technology has an agreement with Falck (formerly Previa), Your corporate health | Falck and Previa (falcksverige.se)

Booked after dialogue with the immediate manager:

• In connection with new employment at LTU, it is offered to do a Health and Work Environment Profile (HAMP) and a physiological assessment/advice with a physiotherapist. You then have the opportunity to do follow-ups every 5 years. After the age of 55, follow-up takes place every other year, which also includes hearing tests. At the time of HAMP, you will also have the opportunity to take the CDT (test taken to clarify whether there is an excess consumption of alcohol) and do an Audit (self-reflection). This is voluntary and is not reported back to employers. Bookings of HAMP are made in dialogue with the immediate manager.
• Ergonomic workplace review after consultation with the immediate manager.

As an employee, you can book yourself:

• Two visits to a behavioral scientist/psychologist. A possible continuation takes place in dialogue with the immediate manager.
